MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611067454 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu on May 29, 2026, for A Nanoalloy Based Ferrofluid And A Method Of Synthesis Thereof.

Inventors include Chandana Rath; and Aiswarjya Bastia.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a nanoalloy based ferrofluid and a method of synthesis thereof. The present invention comprises of a bimetallic nanoalloy synthesized through reductant-assisted hydrothermal technique and the nanoalloy based ferrofluid is obtained by functionalizing the nanoalloy powder with a capping agent. The surface of the bimetallic magnetic nanoalloy is coated with the capping agent to preserve colloidal stability and dispersibility. The present invention provides the bimetallic nanoalloy that exhibits the optimal heating ability with nominal specific absorption rate (SAR) value for hyperthermia applications while also facilitating biocompatibility.
