MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511016684 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology And Science, Pilani on February 25, 2025, for A Nano Herbal Bio Bactericide To Control Plant Diseases From Pathogenic Bacteria.
Inventors include Prof. Kumar Parnav Narayan; Prof. Piyush Khandela; Mr. R. Venkat Ramchandar; and Mr. Abhiram Kumar.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a plant derived biopesticides, specifically to a nano herbal bio bactericide to control plant diseases from pathogenic bacteria. In more particular manner the present invention relates to nano herbal bio bactericide to control plant diseases from pathogenic bacteria Xanthomonas campestris, Xanthomonas citri, and Ralstonia solanacearum. Furthermore, the present invention provides a bio bactericide formulation to control plant diseases from pathogenic bacteria and process for preparation thereof. The present invention discloses a nano herbal bio bactericide formulation to control plant diseases from pathogenic bacteria, said formulation comprising of 300-700 µL of an inner aqueous phase (W1); 0-5 mL of the oil phase (O); and 5-10 mL of an external aqueous phase (W2).
