Abstract: The present invention relates to a muscle-relaxing effervescent bath composition and a method for its preparation and use. The composition comprises baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, corn starch, rose petals, almond oil, and lavender oil in effective proportions. Upon contact with water, the composition undergoes an effervescent reaction, releasing carbon dioxide and facilitating rapid dissolution and uniform distribution of the active ingredients throughout the bathing medium. Epsom salt acts as a muscle-relaxing agent that helps alleviate muscle fatigue, soreness, stiffness, and body discomfort. Lavender oil provides aromatherapeutic and antimicrobial benefits, while almond oil moisturizes and nourishes the skin. Rose petals contribute to the soothing and aesthetic properties of the formulation. The composition is prepared by blending the dry ingredients, incorporating the oils, molding the resulting mixture into solid effervescent units, and drying the units to achieve suitable hardness and stability. Evaluation of the formulation demonstrated desirable physicochemical characteristics, including smooth texture, light pink appearance, pH ranging from 5 to 7, rapid dissolution within 3 to 5 minutes, good stability, and absence of skin irritation.
