Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention provides a multimodal community oral-health risk assessment and intervention prioritization system for early identification of periodontal problems among rural children. The system integrates demographic information, parental and socioeconomic characteristics, oral-hygiene practices, dietary behaviour, oral-health awareness, healthcare utilization, self-reported symptoms and standardized clinical periodontal observations. A processor generates a composite periodontal-risk profile by integrating the collected parameters and identifies dominant contributing factors. An intervention-prioritization module categorizes children according to preventive, behavioural-intervention, dental-evaluation or priority-referral requirements and generates corresponding recommendations. The system further provides offline operation, longitudinal monitoring and anonymized community-level aggregation for resource prioritization. The concept was validated using completed community-based research involving rural children, wherein CPI assessment and a structured questionnaire were employed and significant associations were observed for maternal education, brushing behaviour and dietary factors. The invention is particularly applicable to school-based screening, rural health camps, primary healthcare centres, mobile dental services and community oral-health programmes.
