MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421087183 A) filed by Siddhi Engineers on May 12, 2025, for A Multilayered Yarn Carrier Having Aluminum And Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene And Method Of Manufacturing Thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved yarn carrier having base aluminum tubes as base and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) sleeve as cover for BCF (Bulk Continuous Filament) yarn. The present invention providesa sustainable and precision aluminum drawn tube design which is covered by ABS (Acrylic Butadiene Styrene) where it is constructed to tolerate over 100 operational cycles, providing enhanced durability and also has very high impact resistance. The present invention significantly reduces the need to purchase large quantities of paper tubes. Additionally, it minimizes space requirements for storing discarded paper tubes, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable operational setup. The invention provides internal knurling at two symmetrical points on the aluminum bobbins which enables stable and slippage free rotation. The coating of AcrylonitrileButadieneStyrene (ABS) on the aluminum provides insulation, from attrition during operation, to the closely disposed bobbins in the system.
