Abstract: ABSTRACT: The present invention relates to a multifunctional powered oral hygiene device comprising a powered toothbrush with detachable, interchangeable brush heads and an integrated water flossing unit configured to provide comprehensive oral cleaning through a single handheld device. The system comprises an elongated handle housing an electric motor, a rechargeable power souree, a water reservoir, a micro-pump, a fluid delivery channel, a detachable locking mechanism, and a plurality of interchangeable oral care attachments including powered toothbrush heads and water flossing heads. A controller configured with an attachment recognition mechanism automatically identifies the attached module and correspondingly activates the appropriate brushing mode, water flossing mode, or combined cleaning mode without requiring manual reconfiguration. The detachable coupling mechanism enables secure mechanical power transmission and a leak-proof fluid connection between the handle and the selected attachment. The water flossing unit delivers pressurized water through an integrated irrigation channel for effective interdental cleaning while the powered brush removes plaque from tooth surfaces and the gingival margin. The system may further incorporate adjustable brushing intensity, variable water pressure, pressure sensors, brushing timers, battery status indicators, waterproof sealing, antimicrobial attachment materials, UV sanitization, wireless connectivity, or mobile application integration to enhance clinical performance and user convenience. The invention minimizes the need for multiple oral hygiene devices, improves cleaning efficiency, promotes better plaque control and interdental hygiene, enhances user compliance, and provides a compact, hygienic, and versatile oral care solution for home and professional use.
