MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641062022 A) filed by Chinna Reddy Sudhir Reddy on May 15, 2026, for A Multi-Terrain Amphibious Vehicle With Independent Hydraulic Wheel Drive And Telescopic Air- Jack Suspension.

Inventor includes Chinna Reddy Sudhir Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: A multi-terrain articulated vehicle (100) in which each of a plurality of wheel stations (104) is independently driven by a dedicated radial-piston hydraulic hub motor (108) without a mechanical differential, and independently elevated by two multi-stage single-acting telescopic air-jacks (110) controlled via individual air valves (188) from an operator cabin (112). A spring-and-chain retrieval mechanism (198, 200, 202) lifts each wheel assembly when air is released. Each wheel station rotates ±90 degrees on a rotating plate (190) linked by tie-rods (194) to a hydraulic steering jack (196). Three hydraulic pipes (120, 122, 124) and dedicated air pipes (182) per chassis side serve motors and jacks. The vehicle is amphibious via buoyancy chambers (136) and propeller (130). Two or more vehicles couple end-to-end to bridge a concave river bed, all wheels independently grounded, with modular stabiliser poles (210) anchored by bolts (214) and a load-rated superstructure (218). A jungle- clearing arm (204, 206, 208) is also provided. All stated dimensions are non-limiting and scalable to operational requirements.
