Abstract: The present invention relates to a high-efficiency multi-stage oxygen filter assembly (100) for medical oxygen concentrators. The filter assembly comprises a filter housing (200), a pre-filtration layer (300), an activated carbon filtration layer (400), a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration layer (500), an antimicrobial filtration layer (600), an airflow distribution chamber (700), a removable filter cartridge retaining mechanism (800), an air inlet (901), an air outlet (902), and an optional filter condition monitoring unit (1000). Atmospheric air sequentially passes through the filtration stages to remove coarse particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, odours, microorganisms and ultrafine particles before entering the oxygen concentration unit. The modular construction enables convenient cartridge replacement while permitting reuse of the filter housing, thereby reducing maintenance costs and medical waste. The optimized airflow path minimizes pressure drop, improves oxygen concentrator efficiency and reduces compressor workload. The invention is suitable for portable oxygen concentrators, stationary oxygen concentrators, hospital oxygen delivery systems, emergency medical equipment and other medical gas purification applications, thereby providing improved oxygen purity, enhanced patient safety, extended filter service life and environmentally sustainable operation.
