Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-input power processor unit (100) for a renewable-integrated hybrid energy storage system. The multi-input power processor unit (100) comprises an isolated resonant converter (101) configured to transfer electrical power from at least one photovoltaic source to a common DC-link (102), a battery converter (103) coupled to a battery bank (104), and a supercapacitor converter (105) coupled to a supercapacitor bank (106), derived using the integrated control protocol. The battery converter (103) and the supercapacitor converter (105) each comprise a pair of inversely coupled inductors configured to eliminate a right-half- plane zero associated with boost-derived converter operation, thereby increasing control-loop bandwidth and improving phase margin. The integrated control protocol is utilized that allocates transient power exchange to the supercapacitor converter (105) and steady-state power exchange to the battery converter (103), thereby enabling rapid DC-link voltage restoration, reducing battery current stress, and improving dynamic stability.
