MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641092813 A) filed by Aditya University on July 30, 2026, for A Multi-Function Woodworking Apparatus With Configurable Workpiece Guidance And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. Manam Ravindra; and V Jaya Sri Suma.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a multi-function woodworking apparatus (100) comprising a base (102), a frame (104), a tool holding unit (106), an adjustable guide assembly (108), a carrier (116), a carrier movement assembly (120), an adjustable supporter (128), and a guide-adjustment screw shaft (134). First and second guide bars (110, 112) are adjustably positioned within curved slots (130A, 130B) and mechanically connected through a third guide bar (114). Wheels (136) associated with limbs (118) engage selected guide-bar surfaces to constrain the carrier (116) along a selected workpiece movement path. Rotation of a crank screw shaft (122) displaces a follower (124), and a plurality of links (126) transmits the displacement to the carrier (116). Reconfiguration of the guide-bar geometry, wheel engagement, and power-tool orientation enables circular cutting, chamfer cutting, and curved surface milling using the same apparatus (100).
