MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541077652 A) filed by Lakshmi Devi Kancharla on August 14, 2025, for A Multi-Fibre Textile Composition For Moisture Regulation And Dimensional Stability.
Inventor includes Lakshmi Devi Kancharla.
The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: A multi-fibre textile composition (100) for moisture regulation and dimensional stability is disclosed. The multi-fibre textile composition comprises 40 percent to 60 percent lyocell fibres (105), 30 percent to 45 percent cotton fibres (110), 5 percent to 15 percent bamboo fibres (115), and 0 percent to 5 percent elastomeric fibres (120) by weight. The coordinated fibre proportions establish balanced functional and mechanical characteristics within a textile (125). The lyocell fibres facilitate moisture management, breathability, softness, and controlled drape, while the cotton fibres impart structural integrity and durability. The bamboo fibres contribute thermal regulation, antimicrobial characteristics, ultraviolet protection, and moisture regulation, whereas the elastomeric fibres impart stretchability, elastic recovery, and shape retention. In alternative embodiments, hemp fibres substitute the bamboo fibres. The resulting textile exhibits dimensional stability, reduced shrinkage, laundering stability, wrinkle resistance, prolonged service life, environmental sustainability, and versatility for diverse textile and apparel application.
