Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-angle hip joint lock for lumbar spine support. This LowCost Multi-Angle Hip Joint Lock with Adjustable Stay Mechanism for Controlled Lumbar Spine Motion, designed for integration into wearable agricultural exoskeletons. The mechanism enables controlled immobilization or restriction of the hip joint at selectable angles between 0°– 180°, supporting safe lumbar spine flexion during prolonged bending tasks. It comprises a movable arm (101) functioning as a goniometer-based adjuster, an angle dial (102) featuring 10° incremental locking holes for precise posture selection, and a fixed arm (103) attached to the thigh module serving as the anchor point. A manual locking pin or nut securely maintains the selected angle, ensuring stability under load without powered actuation. The invention provides ergonomic lumbar support, minimizes spinal compression and fatigue, and enhances worker comfort. Its simplicity, low cost, and mechanical reliability make it ideal for field-level agricultural and ergonomic support applications.
