MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076089 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 19, 2026, for A Multi-Agent Ai Framework For End-To-End Multimodal Medical Image Interpretation And Triage Report Generation.

Inventors include Dr K H Vijaya Kumari; and Dr Marepalli Radha.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: Medical image interpretation is a crucial component of healthcare diagnostics. Yet it remains challenging due to delayed and error prone results caused by human intervention. Current literature regarding AI-assisted medical report generation has been limited to one center with only imaging modalities and opaque deep learning models. This leaves uncertainties regarding the generalization ability, interpretability, and safety of such AI systems when applied in heterogeneous and real-world medical practice settings. It becomes apparent then that there is a need for a multimodal, interpretable, and safe approach to medical report generation. Our Proposed system aims to develop a multi-agent AI solution, which will be developed on the CrewAI framework. It will involve automation of analysis of medical images and creation of diagnostic reports based on them in a standardized form. Chest x-ray will be selected as the first modality in a proof-of-concept study.
