MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621078352 A) filed by Bhangre Girish Shivaji on June 25, 2026, for A Motorized Sliding Window System With Variable Diameter Drum For Uniform Panel Travel Time..

Inventor includes Bhangre Girish Shivaji.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A motorized sliding window system with variable diameter drum for uniform panel travel time is disclosed. The system comprises a support structure (1) having guide channels (4), a horizontal member (2) carrying a rotary actuator (12) connected to a winding drum (15) via a motor axle (13), and a compound sheave arrangement comprising upper rotatable sheaves (18) and lower rotatable sheaves (19) routing two flexible tensile members (17) to a movable carrier (20) retaining a toughened glazing panel (25). The outer diameter of the winding drum (15) is proportionally scaled with the total deployed length of the flexible tensile members (17), such that as the number of rotatable sheaves is increased to accommodate heavier glazing panels, the proportionally larger diameter winding drum (15) rewinds the correspondingly longer flexible tensile member (17) within a substantially equal rotational duration, thereby maintaining a substantially uniform travel time for the movable carrier (20) across glazing panels of varying widths and weights using a single standardized rotary actuator (12).A motorized sliding window system with variable diameter drum for uniform panel travel time is disclosed.
