Abstract: ABSTRACT A MODULAR WIND TURBINE TOWER SYSTEM The present disclosure relates to a modular wind turbine tower system 100 comprising a tower 102 extending between a lower end 102a and an upper end 102b. The tower 102 comprises a plurality of tower segments 104 arranged in an end-to-end tapered configuration such that the cross-sectional dimensions progressively decrease from the lower end 102a towards the upper end 102b. Each tower segment 104 includes three wall panels 106 interconnected through a plurality of longitudinal joints 108 to define an equilateral triangular closed cross-sectional configuration. Each longitudinal joint 108 includes an L-shaped connector 108a having an included angle of less than 90° and a plurality of fastening members 108b configured to secure adjacent wall panels 106. Adjacent tower segments 104 are interconnected through a segment joint 110 including a flat connector plate 110a and fastening members 110b. (Referring to Figure 1)
