Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a modular recycled plastic check dam system (100) for sustainable watershed and water resource management. The system comprises a plurality of interlocking modular recycled plastic units (102) configured to form a check dam structure across a stream or drainage channel, a water storage region (104) formed upstream of the check dam structure, a controlled seepage core (106) integrated within the check dam structure, a flow control arrangement (108) associated with the controlled seepage core (106), and a structural interlocking arrangement (110) for maintaining the modular units in an assembled configuration. The controlled seepage core (106) provides a regulated passage for retained water, thereby controlling downstream discharge and reducing flow velocity. The system facilitates runoff capture, temporary water storage, sediment deposition, soil erosion reduction and groundwater recharge. The modular configuration enables transportation, installation, replacement, maintenance and expansion according to site requirements. The system provides a lightweight and sustainable alternative for watershed management applications. The figure associated with the abstract is Fig. 1.
