MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621082314 A) filed by Kripower Private Limited on July 03, 2026, for A Modular Power Supply Architecture Utilizing An Llc Resonant Converter Devoid Of A Pfc Stage.
Inventor includes Monil Kishorchandra Jadav.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a single-stage modular power supply architecture utilizing a highly optimized LLC resonant converter that completely eliminates a physical or active Power Factor Correction (PFC) hardware step. By optimizing the resonant tank parameters (L_r, C_r, L_m), the hardware-controlled converter handles fluctuating DC input bus swings natively while preserving zero-voltage-switching advantages without requiring embedded software. Conduction losses on the secondary side are mitigated via active synchronous rectification MOSFETs managed by a hardware timing IC. The architecture incorporates an automated low-loss hardware bypass relay network to minimize initial AC turn-on current to under 8A without sustained NTC heating. The isolation transformers are custom-engineered in-house with multi-strand Litz wire configurations, facilitating structural scaling to serve continuous loads across 350W and 600W levels spanning multi-voltage configurations from 12V to 48V within a highly compact envelope.
