The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A MODULAR MULTI-ARC ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM FOR MULTI-MATERIAL ALLOY FABRICATION The present invention discloses a modular multi-arc additive manufacturing system for multi-material alloy fabrication. The system comprises a movable workpiece positioning platform, at least one Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) unit for precision deposition of a first material, at least one Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) unit for high-rate deposition of a second material, and at least one Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) unit configured to remelt and metallurgically integrate deposited materials under a flux layer. A powder feeding unit delivers alloying materials in powder form through controlled feeding mechanisms, while an interlayer heating unit regulates interpass temperature to minimize thermal gradients and residual stresses. A motion control system governs relative movement between deposition units and the substrate along predefined paths. A centralized control unit selectively activates and synchronizes the units while dynamically adjusting process parameters including current, voltage, wire feed rate, travel speed, powder feed rate, and interpass temperature. The system enables sequential, simultaneous or hybrid multi-material additive manufacturing with improved compositional control and metallurgical homogeneity.
