Abstract: ABSTRACT: Title: A Modular Floating-Bioadhesive Oral Drug Delivery System with Adjustable Release Chambers The present invention relates to a modular oral drug delivery system comprising a main body (101), a primary functional region (102), a secondary region (103), an interface/supporting region (104), and an additional compartment or layer (105), where applicable. The system further comprises multiple formulation chambers, a buoyant matrix region, a bioadhesive outer layer and controlled release openings. The formulation chambers are configured to accommodate immediate-release, delayed-release or sustained-release regions. Release characteristics are controlled by varying chamber geometry, barrier thickness and matrix composition. The buoyant matrix region provides floating characteristics, while the bioadhesive outer layer provides adhesion to a biological surface. The controlled release openings provide respective pathways for release of pharmaceutical formulations from the formulation chambers. The modular configuration permits adjustment of individual chambers according to drug-loading requirements and desired release characteristics, thereby providing a controlled and configurable oral drug delivery system.
