The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a modal-engineered system and method for preventive maintenance of photovoltaic panels through controlled standing-wave structural excitation. The invention comprises acquiring structural response data of a photovoltaic panel, determining structural dynamic characteristics, identifying resonant excitation frequencies, and determining preferred actuator locations based on the measured structural behaviour. In a preferred embodiment, a cumulative representation of vibrational participation, referred to as a Composite Cymatic Energy Map (CCEM), is generated from a plurality of structural vibration modes to optimize actuator placement. One or more vibration actuators are operated according to excitation parameters derived from the structural dynamic characteristics to generate standing- wave vibration within the photovoltaic panel, thereby promoting movement of particulate contaminants across the panel surface for preventive maintenance. The disclosed methodology provides a repeatable engineering framework linking structural dynamic characterization, actuator optimization, and controlled structural excitation. The invention is applicable to new and retrofit photovoltaic installations and may be implemented using various actuator technologies, controller architectures, and photovoltaic system configurations.
