Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile robotic assistant and a method of operating the same are provided, more particularly to a multifunctional mobile robotic system for assisting users within an operating environment. The mobile robotic assistant comprises a mobile chassis supporting wheels, a processing unit, a microcontroller, motor driver, ultrasonic ranging sensors, camera module, microphone, and speaker. The processing unit may execute a facial recognition module for identifying users and generating attendance records, a speech-to-text module for converting audio input into text queries, and a language model interface for communicating text queries to a large language model and receiving generated responses. A navigation controller may determine movement commands based on target locations and distance information and facilitate obstacle avoidance. A web server may receive summoning commands from a user device, enabling movement toward designated locations and integrated user assistance. Figure 2 is the representative figure.
