The microbial bioformulation for conversion of sandy desert soil to fertile carbon rich soil. Moreover, the present invention provide process for preparing the microbial bioformulation. The present bioformulation further improves soil organic carbon by 2 to 3 times, enhances water retention by up to 60%, and reduces irrigation requirement by up to 40%.
