Abstract: A METHOD OF PRODUCING A HIGH STRENGTH ARTIFICIAL SLAG BRIQUETTES FOR REFINING MOLTEN STEEL The present disclosure discloses provides a method of producing a high strength artificial slag briquettes for refining molten steel. The method includes the step of forming a mixture comprising alumina rich ladle furnace slag, alumina powder, and binders. The ladle furnace slag is obtained from aluminium (Al) killed steel processing in a ladle furnace. Further, briquetting the mixture in presence of moisture, to form briquettes. Furthermore, curing the briquettes at a first temperature for a first time period and produces the high strength artificial slag briquettes. The high strength artificial slag briquettes exhibit cold compressive strength ranging from 250 kgf to 300 kgf per briquette. Fig. 1 is a reference figure.
