Abstract: A METHOD OF PREPARATION OF ODOUR FREE DUSTBIN COVER The present invention discloses a reusable dustbin cover made from cotton fabric coated with natural materials. The neem powder and activated carbon are added to absorb odor-causing compounds and provide potential antimicrobial benefits. Finely ground rose petals and com starch add a mild fragrance and help stabilize the coating mixed with glycerine. The process involves cutting cotton cloth to the size of the bin, creating a blend of neem, rose, activated carbon, and corn starch powders. and mixing it with glycerine to form a spreadable paste. Next, the fabric is coated and dried, then stitched into an elasticized sleeve to fit standard dustbins. A qualitative comparison between covered and uncovered bins in regular household use shows that the Green Guard cover delays and reduces foul odors around the bin.
