Abstract: A METHOD OF PREPARATION OF A QUERCETIN-LOADED (QUR-COL) LYOPHILIZED SCAFFOLD FOR THE TREATMENT OF DIABETIC FOOT ULCERS (DFU) ABSTRACT A method (1200) for preparing a Quercetin-loaded (QUR-COL) lyophilized scaffold for the treatment 5 of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) is provided. The method (1200) includes preparing (1202) quercetin-loaded PLGA nanoemulsions by a solvent evaporation method. The method (1200) further includes incorporating (1204) the PLGA nanoemulsions into a collagen solution to form a mixture and lyophilizing the mixture to form a porous QUR-COL scaffold structure. The method (1200) further includes crosslinking (1206) the porous QUR-COL scaffolds using a 10 chemical crosslinking method to enhance stability, improve the mechanical strength and structural integrity of the scaffold.
