Abstract: A method of a User Equipment, UE, managing cell barring in a telecommunications network during cell selection and/or reselection is provided. The method comprises receiving a Signal Synchronisation Block, SSB, from a cell in the telecommunications network. The method further comprises based on the SSB, determining that the cell is in a Network Energy Saving, NES, mode. The method further comprises modifying a behaviour of the UE for barring the cell in response to determining that the cell is in NES mode.
