Inventors include Zakiya Fathima C; Dr. Jainey P. James; and Sindhu T. J.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a synthetic method (100) for pyrazole-isoxazoline scaffolds as monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor, comprising forming a pyrazole derivative 1- (3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanone (202) by reacting acetyl acetone (204) with acetyl hydrazine (206), in presence of a strong base (208), condensing of one or more of the carbonyl groups of acetyl acetone (204) with one or more hydrazine group of acetyl hydrazine (206), and performing intramolecular cyclisation to form 1- (3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanone (202). The method (100) comprising forming a chalcones compound (212) by reacting aromatic aldehyde/s (216) with 1-(3,5- dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethanone (202) in the presence of a strong base (208). The method (100) comprising forming an oxime (210) by reacting the chalcones compound (212) with hydroxylamine hydrochloride (214) in the presence of the strong base (208). The method (100) comprising initiating base-induced intramolecular cyclisation to form an isoxazoline derivative (220). The method (100) comprising yielding a pyrazole–isoxazoline derivative or a pyrazole-isooxazoline scaffolds.
