Abstract: A method for Sustainable Eco-Friendly Nano Composite based Adhesive for Industrial use The present invention relates to a formaldehyde-free, nanomaterial-infused poly-silicate nanocomposite adhesive composition and a method for its preparation. Silica-rich agricultural biomass, including rice husk, rice husk ash, or paddy straw, is subjected to mushroom cultivation to obtain a silica-enriched biomass, which is then treated under alkaline hydrothermal conditions to produce a poly-silicate matrix. Nanomaterial reinforcement, including graphene oxide, graphene-like carbon dots, cellulose nanocrystals, or nano-clay, is incorporated into the matrix, wherein carbon quantum dots may be formed in situ. Bio-based crosslinking agents such as lignin, tannins, or soy protein, along with optional aldehyde-based crosslinkers, are added to form a crosslinked adhesive network. Eco-friendly plasticizers are further incorporated to improve flexibility and adhesion. The resulting adhesive exhibits enhanced bonding strength, thermal stability, and water resistance, and is suitable for industrial applications including plywood, fibreboard, and engineered wood products.
