Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a method for selecting rejuvenator dosage for reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP)-incorporated asphalt mixtures by evaluating rheological characteristics of rejuvenated asphalt binders prepared with different rejuvenator dosages, comparing the evaluated rheological characteristics with a target rheological condition of a reference asphalt binder, and determining the rejuvenator dosage based on a quantitative rheological restoration criterion before preparation of RAP-incorporated asphalt mixtures for flexible pavement applications. The method evaluates cumulative rheological response of rejuvenated asphalt binders for supporting dosage selection based on overall restoration behavior rather than individual rheological indexes considered separately. The method supports reproducible rejuvenator dosage selection across different RAP sources, rejuvenator types, aging severities, and asphalt mixture configurations. The method reduces insufficient restoration of aged asphalt binder caused by lower rejuvenator dosage levels.
