Abstract: Title: “A METHOD FOR REGULATING OPERATION OF A HVAC UNIT OF A VEHICLE AND SYSTEM THEREOF” ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a method (200) and a system for regulating 5 operation of a HVAC unit (100) of a vehicle. The control unit (1) is configured to determine each of temperature and pressure of a refrigerant flowing to a compressor (2) from an evaporator (3) of the HVAC unit (100). The measured temperature of the refrigerant is compressed with a saturation temperature of the refrigerant. The control unit is configured to regulate at least one a speed of the compressor (2), a 10 flowrate of the refrigerant from the evaporator (3), and operate a heater, to increase temperature of the refrigerant to substantially be equal to or greater than the saturation temperature at the determined pressure of the refrigerant entering the compressor (2). The control unit is configured to evaluate performance or malfunction in the HVAC unit, based on power consumed by the heater (4) for 15 superheating the refrigerant.
