Abstract: A METHOD FOR REFINING GOLD AND PRODUCING A GOLD ALLOY The present disclosure relates to a method (100) for gold refining and producing a gold- silver-copper alloy. The method (100) comprises heating a gold-containing feedstock to a molten state to form a molten metal bath. Subsequently, oxygen is introduced into the molten metal bath to form a slag of metal oxides. Thereafter, the slag of metal oxides is removed from the molten metal bath to obtain a refined molten gold- silver-copper alloy (205). Then, the refined molten gold-silver-copper alloy (205) is poured into water to form gold-silver-copper alloy granules. Next, the alloy requirements are calculated based on the gold-silver-copper alloy sample. Gold purity is analyzed using the fire assay method, while the elemental composition is determined using XRF technology. Then, the gold-silver-copper alloy granules are melted inside a vacuum induction furnace to remove the dissolved oxygen. Then, the melt is alloyed as per the requirement to obtain gold of desired karatage. [Figure 1]
