Inventors include Dr. Veena Babu Kupati; Dr. Rakhee Kallimani; Dr. Om Chandrashekar Patil; Mr. Abhinandan Shivaji Khare; Dr. Ronak Dsouza; and Dr. Shailendra Sanja Suryawanshi.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for quality evaluation ofT amra Bhasma using electrochemical deposition analysis, designed to provide a rapid, reproducible, and low-temperature alternative to conventional Nirutthikarana testing. The method involves dispersing Tamra Bhasma in an acidic aqueous medium and subjecting it to controlled direct current using silver electrodes, wherein residual free or untransformed metallic copper present in the fonnulation undergoes migration and deposition on the cathode surface. The extent of electrodeposition is measured and correlated with the completeness of incineration and overall quality of the Bhasma. The invention enables objective and quantitative assessment of Tamra Bhasma quality, reduces dependency on high-temperature furnace-based procedures, and offers improved standardization, sensitivity, and reproducibility suitable for laboratory and industrial quality control applications.
