Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR PROVIDING A USER INTERFACE (UI) AND A CLOUD-BASED ANALYTICAL COMPUTING SYSTEM The present invention discloses a method for providing a user interface (ui) and a cloud-based analytical computing system. A method executed by at least one processor for providing a user interface (UI), the method comprising: displaying, on a first portion of a UI display, a first set of user-selectable menu items corresponding to a first hierarchical menu level; detecting, by the at least one processor, a user interaction with a first menu item of the first set without receiving a selection of the first menu item; and in response to detecting the user interaction, displaying, on at least one of the first portion or a second portion of the UI display, a second set of user-selectable menu items corresponding to a subsequent hierarchical menu level associated with the first menu item, wherein the second set of user-selectable menu items is displayed prior to selection of the first menu item.
