The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: The invention is related to an integrated oxy-steam blown fluidized bed coal gasification and syngas processing system meticulously designed for the efficient conversion of coal into valuable products. Central to this system are fluidized bed gasifiers (1), cyclone, a recycle loop, overflow system, a char combustor (4) and downstream system all intricately interconnected to streamline the conversion process. A significant breakthrough lies in the utilization of superheated steam (27), sourced from overflow and cyclone-1 ash via the char combustor, facilitating oxy-steam blown gasification, water gas shift reaction, and operation of the rectisol unit. Moreover, the substitution of nitrogen with carbon dioxide, captured downstream of the rectisol unit, not only boosts gasification efficiency but also enhances environmental sustainability. This integrated configuration significantly enhances process efficiency, maximizes product yield, and augments environmental performance, making it a compelling solution for sustainable and clean coal utilization.
