Abstract: The invention discloses a method for preparing fermentable hydrolysate from lignocellulosic biomass, specifically coconut husk, for biofuel and bioproduct production. The method addresses the recalcitrant nature of the agricultural waste by initially preparing the feedstock through collection, cleaning, drying, and size reduction, followed by conditioning. The conditioned biomass then undergoes a combined physicochemical pretreatment to selectively disrupt the lignocellulosic matrix. An optional bleaching step further reduces residual lignin and enhances cellulose accessibility. Subsequently, the treated biomass is subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis under optimized conditions, converting cellulose and hemicellulose into fermentable sugars. The resulting hydrolysate is then processed for sugar recovery and quantification, yielding a fermentation-ready, sugar-rich product suitable for sustainable energy solutions and agricultural waste valorization.
