MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611094550 A) filed by Jecrc University on August 04, 2026, for A Method For Preparing, Screening And Developing Environmentally Sustainable, Value-Added Composite Blocks Derived From Agricultural Waste.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a composite comprising: screening, cleaning and drying crop residue in particular agricultural waste fiber; grinding the residue; mixing the residue with mustard oil cake, black soil, lime and water; incorporating additives (such as fly ash and/or gypsum) as per requirement, moulding the composite in brick of desired shape and size; compressing the brick; and drying the moulded blocks preferably in natural sunlight for at least 21 sunny days to obtain final product. The resulting constructed material i.e., eco-friendly blocks were tested on physio-chemical tests.
