Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR PREDICTING CORROSION POTENTIAL IN REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE (RCC) STRUCTURES Disclosed herein a method for predicting corrosion potential in reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures (100), the method comprising evaluating acid-soluble chloride content in concrete samples from RCC structures via experimental techniques. The method further, comprises measuring corrosion potential in reinforcement of the RCC structures using standardized procedures. Further, developing a mathematical model using correlation and regression analysis, wherein acid-soluble chloride content serves as an independent variable and corrosion potential serves as a dependent variable. Further, validating the mathematical model by comparing predicted corrosion potential values with known experimental data of acid-soluble chloride content and assessing the efficacy of the mathematical model by determining its ability to predict the probability of reinforcement corrosion in RCC structures.
