Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING BLACK TEA SAMPLES TO DIFFERENTIATE THEIR GEOGRAPHICAL ORIGIN A method (100) for identifying black tea samples to differentiate their geographical origin. Further, the method comprising extracting a sample from a black tea leaf. Further, subjecting the extracted sample to qualitative profiling using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC). Further, coupling the UHPLC with high-resolution accurate mass spectrometry (HRMS) to detect and analyze the mass spectra of the compounds present in the tea sample. Further, and comparing the obtained mass spectra with known spectra from tea samples of different geographical origins to identify distinctive patterns that correlate to the geographical origin of the black tea sample.
