Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a method (100) for enhancing growth, gut health, and cocoon quality in silkworm larvae, the method (100) comprising selecting a consortium of beneficial microbial strains comprising bacterial and yeast components, culturing the selected microbial strains under suitable growth conditions to obtain viable biomass, processing the cultured biomass to obtain a stable probiotic formulation, formulating the processed biomass for application onto feed material, applying the probiotic composition onto mulberry leaves to obtain treated feed, administering the treated feed to silkworm larvae starting from an early instar stage and continuing through subsequent instar stages, repeating the application of the probiotic composition at predetermined time intervals during a rearing cycle to maintain effective microbial load within the larval gut, facilitating colonization of beneficial microorganisms in the gut of the larvae to enhance digestive enzyme activity and improving, one of larval growth rate, disease resistance, filament length, and silk strength.
