The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method (100) for evaluation of anti-arthritic potential of melaleuca leucadendra and cassia senna surattensis, the method (100) begins with collecting leaves from verified sources and authenticating the plant materials through taxonomic identification and voucher specimen deposition (102). The authenticated leaves are cleaned, shade-dried, pulverized, and subjected to soxhlet extraction using an organic solvent to obtain concentrated extracts (104). Preliminary phytochemical screening (106) is performed using standard qualitative tests. Acute oral toxicity of the combined extracts is evaluated in experimental to establish a safe dose range (108). Hepatic injury (100) is then induced using hepatotoxic agents comprising isoniazid and rifampicin. Blood is collected for serum separation and biochemical analysis of liver markers including ALT, AST, ALP, and total bilirubin (114). Liver tissues (116) undergo histopathological, immunohistochemical, and fibrosis staining analyses, and statistical evaluation is performed (118).
