Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE CONCENTRATION OF HEAVY METALS IN SOIL SAMPLES A method (100) for determining the concentration of heavy metals in soil samples is disclosed. Further, the method comprising collecting soil samples from urban areas and arable agricultural fields. Further, analyzing the physico-chemical characteristics of the collected soil samples. Further, measuring the concentrations of heavy metals, wherein heavy metals comprises lead (Pb) and mercury (Hg), in the soil samples using Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) techniques. Further, evaluating the environmental impact based on the measured concentrations of heavy metals in the soil samples. FIG. 1
