Abstract: ABSTRACT “A METHOD FOR DETERMING AN ACCELERATION PROFILE AND A REMAINING DISTANCE PROFILE OF A VEHICLE” Disclosed herein is method and system for determining an acceleration profile and a remaining distance profile of a vehicle. The method comprises receiving a plurality of 5 inputs relating to an operational behaviour of the vehicle and a lead vehicle, and presence of a speed breaker. The method further comprises determining if one or more pre- conditions with respect to the lead vehicle, the vehicle and the speed breaker are met based on the plurality of the inputs. If the one or more predefined conditions are met, the method comprises determining an acceleration profile of the vehicle and a 10 remaining distance profile of the vehicle with respect to the lead vehicle and adapting to the acceleration profile and the remaining distance profile for the vehicle till the lead vehicle drives over the speed breaker.
