Abstract: A METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE EVOLUTION OF A MICRO-ORGANISM The present disclosure provides a method of adaptive evolution of a wild type micro- organism involved in converting a precursor of L-glufosinate thereof to L-glufosinate, esters, or salts thereof. The present disclosure also provides an adapted micro- organism which has improved bioconversion capability as compared to the wild type micro-organism. Also provided herein is a process for preparation of L- glufosinate, esters, or salts thereof by bioconversion of a precursor of L-glufosinate thereof in presence of said adapted micro-organism.
