Abstract: A method is disclosed for three-dimensional reconstruction and energy estimation of blast shock waves using multi-angular imaging and synchronized sensors. Multiple high-speed cameras positioned around a blast site capture time-resolved images of the propagating shock front. The images are geometrically calibrated, and shock boundaries are detected through differential or edge-based analysis. Corresponding features across camera views are triangulated to reconstruct the 3D shock surface and its temporal evolution. Local propagation velocity and curvature are computed, and energy flux is estimated by integrating pressure or optical intensity proxies over the reconstructed surface. The method enables non-contact, data-driven evaluation of shock wave behavior and energy distribution, supporting performance optimization and safety assessment in mining and explosive engineering applications.
