Abstract: ABSTRACT A Method and System for Real-Time Water Quality Monitoring and Adaptive Sensor Validation The present invention relates to a system and method for the monitoring of water quality in real-time and sensor validation with adaptation. The system includes sensors that can measure the following parameters: electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), and pH. The system also has an edge processor connected to the sensors. The edge processor collects and pre-processes the data received from the sensors. It filters out noise, normalizes the data, checks for consistency in units, and validates the collected data based on the physical laws that define the relationship between these parameters. A hybrid model of validation is implemented, which uses machine learning algorithms, such as anomaly detection, regression, clustering, and classification, to analyze the data and provide validation results. The system calculates the trust value of each sensor and the calibration correction factors of the sensors' parameters, allowing the sensors to self-calibrate. Fig. 3
