Abstract: ABSTRACT A Method and System for Multi-Modal AI-Based Plant Disease Severity Prediction and Intervention The invention presents a system and method for multi-modal, stage-adaptive plant disease severity prediction and intervention using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques. The system integrates heterogeneous data sources, including plant imagery and environmental parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light intensity, to enable real-time monitoring and analysis of plant health. A hybrid AI/ML architecture processes spatial and temporal data to perform stage-wise disease classification, generate a continuous severity index, and predict disease progression. Based on the analysis, the system provides severity-based alerts and context-aware intervention recommendations, including pesticide application, irrigation adjustments, and crop management strategies. The system supports edge-based inference and cloud integration, with optional federated learning for privacy-preserving model updates. By enabling accurate severity estimation and proactive intervention, the disclosed solution enhances precision agriculture, reduces crop loss, and improves overall agricultural productivity. Fig.3
