Abstract: [042] The present invention relates to a method and system for computing a soil health index using historical crop, fertilizer, soil, and climate data. The invention acquires historical agricultural records from farm logs, soil test reports, weather sources, and sensor-based inputs, and stores the data in a structured database linked to land parcels and crop seasons. The data is preprocessed through cleaning, normalization, and transformation, after which soil-relevant indicators such as crop diversity, nutrient balance, fertilizer efficiency, organic matter trend, moisture variation, and climate stress are derived. A soil health scoring engine applies weighted computation, statistical analysis, machine learning, or a combination thereof to generate a composite soil health index representing soil fertility and sustainability over multiple crop cycles. The system further provides dashboard-based visualization, degradation trend monitoring, and actionable recommendations relating to fertilizer optimization, crop rotation, and soil conservation.
