Inventor includes Naveenchandra Bellare.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING N, P&K CONCENTRATIONS OF SOIL SAMPLE USING IR SPECTROSCOPY A compact and non-destructive device and method for determining NPK concentrations of a soil sample using infrared spectroscopic analysis is disclosed. Electromagnetic radiation within a spectral range of 350 nm to 2500 nm is generated and selectively filtered to isolate macronutrient-sensitive wavelengths. The filtered radiation is directed onto a soil sample associated with GPS-derived geospatial coordinates, and reflected radiation is sensed to generate spectroscopic data. The data undergoes electronic signal acquisition, including amplification, conditioning, and digitization, followed by calibration using a white reference panel to compensate for environmental variations. The calibrated data is processed to extract spectral signatures and derive nutrient concentrations using statistical and machine learning models. The compact device enables real-time determination of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium values with improved accuracy. The invention provides a portable, field-deployable solution with reduced computational complexity and enhanced efficiency for precision agriculture and soil monitoring applications.
