Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to methods, encoders and decoders for processing a picture in presence of skip algorithm, which allows encoder and decoder based on available for both standard deviation information to skip encoding and decoding insignificant tensor elements. Since elements will be not encoded and decoder due to the skip algorithm, minimal value of standard deviation in arithmetic coder design should be aligned with skip threshold. This reduces size of tables in arithmetic coder and improve coding efficiency.
