Abstract: ABSTRACT A METHOD AND A WELDED JOINT FOR JOINING TITANIUM AND C276 USING EXPLOSION BONDING The present invention relates to a method (100) and welded joint (300) for joining dissimilar materials, specifically Titanium and C276, using a clad plate (200) bonded by explosion bonding, providing a corrosion-resistant interface without requiring pre-weld or post-weld heat treatment. The method (100) joins dissimilar materials comprising Titanium and C276 using a clad plate (200) bonded by explosion bonding. The clad plate (200) includes a Titanium base layer (202) (approximately 6 mm thick) and a C276 cladding layer (204) (approximately 2 mm thick), metallurgically bonded without thermal degradation. The method involves positioning (104) the clad plate (200) over the interface, welding (106) the C276 cladding layer (204) to a C276 component using TIG welding with ER NiCrMo-4 filler wire, and welding (108) the Titanium base layer (202) to a Titanium component using Titanium filler wire.
